Itinerary :-
Day 1:Delhi – Manali (540 km / 14 hours)
You will be picked up from New Delhi airport/railway station and transferred by road to Manali. On arrival, check in to the hotel. Spend the evening at leisure. Enjoy your dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Manali
Early in the morning, take a half-day excursion to Rohtang Pass/Rohtang Snow Pointon extra cost (Closed on Tuesday). On your way back, visit Solang Valley. You can opt for adventure sports like paragliding, zorbing and skiing (subject to snow) on direct payment basis. Stay overnight at the hotel in Manali. Rohtang Pass: It is 51 kilometers/2 hours from Manali. It is inaccessible for almost eight months in a year as it is covered with snow. Guests are generally taken to the snow point on Rohtang Road, for which prior permission should be taken from the Border Security Force. In case a Tuesday falls on this day, guests shall be taken to the Snow Point on some other day as we have three nights in Manali. Solang Valley: It is a side valley at the top of the Kullu Valley, 14 kilometers northwest of the resort town. It is known for its summer and winter sport conditions. The sports most commonly offered are parachuting, paragliding, skating and zorbing.
Day 3: Manali to Dharamshala (215 kms / 6 hrs)
After a delicious breakfast, proceed to Dharamshala, where His Holiness Dalai Lama lives in exile. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Spend the evening at leisure followed by dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Sightseeing in Dharamshala
Day 5: Dharamshala to Dalhousie (114 kms / 4 hrs)
After a tasty breakfast, proceed to Dalhousie, a hill station full of colonial charm that holds lingering echoes of the Raj. Spread out over the five hills, the town is named after the 19th century British Governor General Lord Dalhousie. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Spend the evening at leisure followed by dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 6: Dalhousie to Amritsar (178 km/approx. 5 hours)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Amritsar. Check in at the hotel. In the evening, visit the India-Pakistan border at Wagah. Watch the ‘Beating the Retreat’ ceremony where soldiers of both countries bring down their respective national flags in their unique styles. As the sun goes down, the air is filled with the sound of nationalistic slogans and patriotic songs. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay in Amritsar.
Day 7: Amritsar to Delhi (465 km/approx. 7.5 hours)
Go to the Golden Temple early in the morning. This is the most important gurudwara of the Sikhs and is a symbol of their religious and historic traditions. Then, visit Jallianwala Bagh, the site of a merciless massacre of innocent Indians at the hands of General Dyer. Return to the hotel and enjoy a hot breakfast. Later, check out from the hotel and drive to Delhi for your return journey.
