The direction to the sunderdhunga base camp is as the same route which goes for Pindari till village khati, from there the route diverts to the territory like Jatoli, Dhungia Dhaun and Kathalia villages full of zigzag, twisting and unsteady path. This trek is a complete trek offering moderate to advanced trekking.

Trekking in Sunderdhunga is not an easy cake walk, you will encounter with the challenges and thrill in every footsteps of yours.  This particular trek in the Kumaun Himalayan region, faces some really rock time while passing through Dhungia Dhaun.

Journey to the sunderdhunga base camp trek; start off from Loharkhet to Dhauri, a good walk upto 11 km. From Dhauri the trek continuous towards one of the largest village of khati and the then to Jatoli, followed by the River Pindar and Sunderdhunga tributary. Trek to Jatoli to Kathalia is stretch in between 12 long kilometers, goes through a wide alpine forest, reaches to Sunderdhunga view point crossing sukhram cave. Caravan from Kathalia to Sunderdhunga view point is truly mesmerizing, offers a great scenic views of majestic hills. Another climb of 4 kms follows towards Maiktoli Top from Kathalia and then trail downwards to Khati via same route. The trek ends at Bageshwar.
Itinerary:-

Day 01: Arrive Delhi
After your arrival to Delhi, our representative will attend you then transfer to hotel for overnight halt.

Day 02: Delhi – Almora (315 kms/8 hrs approx by car)
Early morning drive to Ranikhet via Kathgodam, Bhim Tal. Evening, arrival to Ranikhet, enjoy dinner during overnight stay at hotel.

Day 03: Almora – Loharkhet (130 kms/2-3 hrs) – Dhakuri (2680 mts / 8844 ft)
After breakfast, drive to Loharkhet, from here trek to Dhakuri will get start. A climb to the valley of Dhakuri with total 11 km of trek today. Overnight stay in rest house/tents, dinner will serve.

Day 04: Dhakuri – Khati (2210 mts/7293 ft)
On the banks of the Pinder Ganga, trek to khati is 8 km. One of the prime village khati is known for its kind gesture and good hospitability by locals. It is total 8 km of treks.

Day 05: Khati – Jatoli (2000 mts/6600 ft) 8 kms/5hrs
Heading to Jatoli village in the morning, River Pinder will accompany you throughout this trek from Khati to Warbham- a place where streams like Sunderdhunga and Pinder meets. At Jatoli crossing, dinner and overnight stay in camps.

Day 06: Jatoli – Kathalia (3206 mts/14300 ft) 12 kms/5 hrs
In the midst of thick alpine forest a journey of 12 km, where you will come across River Saria. Overnight stay in tents in Kathalia location.

Day 07: Kathalia – Sukhram Cave – Sunderdunga View Point (3900 mts/12870 ft)
Today we will commence trek of 10 kms in 4-5 hours. Early morning, trek will start up for Sunderdunga view point passes crossing Sukhram Cave. Set out camp for overnight stay and enjoy the dinner upon arrival.

Day 08: Kathalia – Maiktoli Top 4320 mts/14256 ft)
Following breakfast begins a trek of 4 kms steep climb to reach Maiktoli top, a place to feel the touch of heaven. Upon returning to Kathalia, dinner and night halt.

Day 09: Kathalia – Jatoli (12 kms/5 hrs)
Upon reaching back to Jatoli, take rest in tents and have dinner.

Day 10: Jatoli – Khati (8 kms/4 hrs)
Trek back to Khati, night stay with dinner.

Day 11: Khati – Dhakuri (8 kms/4 hrs)
Welcome morning to trek back to Dhakuri, have rest in tents for overnight in the surrounding of silence and take pleasure in having dinner.

Day 12: Dhakuri – Loharkhet – Song – Bageshwar
Starts trek to Song in the morning which is 13kms/5-6hours, then back to Bageshwar. Upon reaching, check in to hotel for comfort and delicious food in the night.

Day 13: Bageshwar – Naini Tal – Delhi
Drive to Delhi via Kathgodam, in the morning. Upon arrival at Delhi in the evening overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 14: Delhi Departure
Half day sightseeing tour of Delhi, transfer to airport to fly on time.
