Located in the upper reaches of the Kumaon Himalayas, the charm of Kafni Glacier is unbeatable. Tributary of the Pindar River, Kafni River gets rise from glacier. The Pinder River is a branch to Alaknanda River, one of the main sources to the Ganga. Underneath of famous Nandakot peak, the Kafni Glacier is situated left to Pinder valley. Kafni Glacier is 12 km from Dwali passing through Byali Udiyar; the route is bound with tranquil atmosphere. Trekkers need to use tents after Dwali passes, from the glacier, the visibility of Nandabhnar (6236 m) and Nandakot (6860 m) looks so phenomenal. For a convenient night stay, Byali Udiyar is an ideal spot with perfect grasslands to place a tent.

One should begin early journey towards zero point from Byali Udiyar, 4 km away to reach to glacier. The valley of Kafni glacier trek is decked up with bushes that blooms all day with the magical winds makes this cable-knit valley more attractive as compared to other trek points. Along with Pindari Glacier, the small Kafni glacier trek is also getting immense popular amongst trekkers from all across the globe. The glacier is a part of Bageshwar district. Unlike Pindari, here at Kafni one can trek to the zero point without any proper equipment.

Itinerary:-

Day 1 – New Delhi:Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Meet our representative on arrival at Delhi, check in hotel.

Day 2 – Delhi – Kathgodam.
Welcome morning with delicious breakfast, whole day sightseeing in Delhi, a train to Kathgodam in the evening, following overnight journey.

Day 3 – Kathgodam – Bageshwar.
Reach Kathgodam in the early morning. Drive to the Bageshwar, the land of rivers Sarayu, Gomati and Bhagirathi. Check into hotel, upon arrival. Beat the tiring day with resting in hotel for overnight and take pleasure in having luscious meal.

Day 4 – Bageshwar – Song – Loharkhet.
In the morning, have breakfast and starts drive to Song .Upon reaching Song, we will begin trek to Loharkhet. Reach at Loharkhet, tiny place on the bank of river Sarayu is ideal for overnight stay in tent.

Day 5 – Loharkhet – Khati.
Today morning we will starts trek to the primary village known as Khati, on the Pindari Glacier Trek. Overnight in tents, relish with great dinner.

Day 6 – Day 6 Khati – Phurkia.
Fresh morning, we will trek to Phurkia from Khati. Phurkia is the region decorated with heavy alpine. You can see lots of Shepherds in large flock enjoying their walk in the midst of nature. Following day long trekking, have dinner in your tents, rest for overnight.

Day 7 – Phurkia – Zero Point – Dwali.
Today morning, we will begin trek till the zero point. Explore the spectacular zero point and witness the beauty of Pindari Glacier, following zero point, trek commences for Dwali for overnight stay and dinner in tents.

Day 8 – Dwali – Kafni – Dwali.
We will start morning with the breakfast, than will leave for the Nandakot and Pinder Valley. Witness the beauty of the main Himalayan ranges from the reach of Kafni Glacier. After exploring Kafni glacier, trek back to Dwali for dinner and night halt.

Day 9 – Dwali – Dhakuri.
Trek to Dhakuri, post breakfast. The majestic views of the Maktoli and Nandakot summit, covered with snow can be seen while on the trek route between Dhakuri and Binjak ridge. Rest your trek in Dhakuri for dinner and night stay.

Day 10 – Dhakuri – Song – Bageshwar.
Commence trek to Song in the morning. We will drive to Bageshwar from Song. Following with dinner and overnight stay at Bageshwar.

Day 11 – Bageshwar –Kathgodam – Delhi.
To board the train to Delhi for overnight journey, we will drive to Kathgodam in the morning.

Day 12 – Delhi Departure.
Check in to the hotel upon arrival in the capital city of India, Delhi. Check out in the evening, reach to the airport to catch a flight for your respective destination.
