Established in the year 1936 as Hailey National Park, Jim Corbett national park is located in the Nainital district of the Uttarakhand State, India. Spread over an area of 1318 sq km of area, is named after “Jim Corbett” the man responsible for setting up the park to save and protect tigers under Project TIGER.

A hub for wildlife lovers and trippers from across the world, the park is spread over a varied landscape which includes rivers, mountains, swamps, grasslands forests and marshes.  The park is a home to 488 different types of species.

The park is Divided into two sections the inner area and external area. To spot animals, tourists are allowed to go in the buffer areas to ensure safety for both humans and animals whereas; the other part of the park is unscathed from tourists.
